The ADJA Continues as one of the longest running business partners with NACE.  This year will be no exception as the ADJA takes the experience by storm as it will be held in the ADJA’s hometown of Phoenix, AZ.  Nobody does more for DJs than ADJA.

The ADJA will once again represent DJs at the LDI show in Las Vegas.

The ADJA as the largest representatives of the DJ industry will once again be anchoring the Wedding MBA not only with a booth but with a major presentation as well as promoting The Wedding Entertainment Director credential.

Monday’s main topics will be a Swap Meet/Yard Sale. Bring any surplus gear or a list of the gear, that you at be looking to sell or swap.

Also, we’ll be talking about the ADJA Conference in a little detail so we can finalize any group activities, shows, dinners, etc.

This month’s meeting is starts at 6:30 p.m. at Syberg’s on Dorsett and I-270 and the topic of the meeting will be “Working WITH Wedding Planners”. We will have a couple of Wedding Planners from the St. Louis Wedding Planner Collaborative coming to speak with our group. They were excited about this opportunity to help build the relationship between Wedding Planners and DJs.

If you have a potential member/guest that you’d like to bring, this would be a good meeting for them to see the content that our members benefit from.

ADJA/St. Louis Chapter Vice President and owner of Gateway DJs Rich Dickerson will be presenting at our April meeting (4.14/2014) at Bruno’s on Hampton.

He’s planning an interactive session on “Fun, background music for all occasions and he will be giving all inattendance a short “Name That Tune” quiz with a fabulous prize for the winner.

Afterwards the group will listen to and talk about some different things you can use for events.

Rich says he takes great pride in the library of sound clips, novelty songs and DJ drops that he has accumulated over the years…see you there!

Our next chapter meeting is Monday, March 10th, and our very own Gary Hairlson of Platinum Entertainment and also the video director at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch/stltoday.com, will be presenting to the group techniques to take better pictures at our events. Gary has also worked at newspapers in Kentucky and Florida as photographer and/or photo director.

The ADJA is pleased to announce it’s support for the Foundation of NACE event on July 14th 2014 in Baltimore, MD.  The ADJA, who is one of the longest running partners with NACE, recently was awarded the Business Partner of The Year is once again a participating partner at the NACE National Experience conference.  This year The ADJA will take off all the chains to throw down the most killer party for the Foundation of NACE.  The Foundation of NACE is the fundraising arm of NACE that provides educational scholorships for members.  The goal this year is to raise the roof off the joint & increase donations by 50%.  To aid in this effort the ADJA has taken the lead in planning & organizing the entertainment for this event.  It will be epic is how Dr. Drax describes it.  ADJA member & Hall of Fame recipient DJ Skribble will be there spinning a guest set as well as many local ADJA members.  We are thrilled to once again be a part of the NACE Experience.

The ADJA is thrilled to announce that ADJA President Dr. Drax will be touring chapters in the southeast United States with stops in Tampa Bay, FL. , Atlanta, GA. , Savannah, GA, Hilton Head, SC, & Charlotte, NC.  Beginning April 28th.  Dr. Drax stated he is excited to resume touring local chapters to help them to build & grow their businesses as DJs.  He will be presenting a series of exciting seminars tailored to each local chapter’s needs.
